Hello world!
I used to think I knew alot about web development. I used to think I was pretty darn crafty for a self taught web designer. Maybe, 15 years ago, I knew my fair portion of the craft, but after a recent decision to build a new website, I’ve recieved somewhat of a rude awakening. I realize now that the days of building a site with hardcoded HTML alone are long since gone. XML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, CMS, the acronyms are piling up, and I’m not sure how much more information my brain can absorb this week. And it all started because I wanted to add a Blog to my site.
Hello world, and welcome to my new site, The Haunting Grounds. The Haunting Grounds is my attempt to share my family’s love of Halloween, our annual home Haunt, and to network with other “Halloweenies” around the globe. I’m new to Blogging, and I dont consider myself to be all that creative of a writer, but I’ll do my best to keep a steady flow of fresh content. But please, bear with me, and I’ll get the hang of this, I’m sure.

You’re doing an outstanding job SK! We will indeed bear with you through your learning experience of perfecting and bulking up your website. It does take time though and I hope most understand that. Personally I enjoy finding a baby website and watching it grow through out the years. Just thinking back to what SoS has gone through and the tremendous changes this year alone has me most excited for 2010. Now I have another wonderful Halloween website to add to my bookmarks. Keep up the great work, it IS paying off
