Ghost Hunters Academy
It’s time to hit the classroom. ‘Ghost Hunters Academy’ premiers tonight at 10pm EST on the SyFy channel. Anyone who’s a fan of the original Ghost Hunters television show knows that with this dynamic duo, this spinoff has the potential for great things.
In this new series we’ll get to follow Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango as they bring their knowledge and experience to the classroom, training bright young minds in the art of hunting for paranormal activity. No doubt the comedic antics of these two gents will play a part in the show, but chances are it’ll take a back seat to watching their trainees crack when things start to go bump in the night. Lets just hope there are no spiders lurking about, or it may just be the trainees who get the last laugh.
Personally, I would love the chance to spend a few nights investigating the spookiest of the spooky with these guys, but unfortunately I’ve got more important things to do. So I’ll just have to settle with watching it on the TV like the rest of us. Two straight hours of fresh GH material, thank goodness I have Wednesday nights off.
Until next, SK

By the way hun, have you ever worked with EVP’s? It’s incredible just how fun it is and how stunning the results are. I have my reasons for saying what I’m about to share but as much as I enjoy watching Steve and Tango, I DO have a certain favorite person that I would give my left arm to work with. To be out in the field exploring cemeteries at night, take video footage and recording evp’s. This person has a certain energy around him which is another reason why, though he’s not famous, he would be my immediate pick when it comes to teaming up with someone to research this. On an off note; have you seen any of the “Destination Truth” shows? Those are exciting to watch as well. I really enjoy watching Josh Gates and the team he has this year. Plus they tend to go where not many research teams will go which makes the show extra special. Sorry for the long message and thank you for allowing me to share. Have a wonderful day.
Goldie,
While I’ve never worked with EVP’s myself, I find the whole topic of them fascinating. I’ve often wondered what it would be like to go off hunting for signs of the afterlife, and I’ve actually encountered several personal experiences that I am unable to explain. Unfortunately, family obligations leave me little time for chasing ghosts at this point in my life.
But yes, I do enjoy “Destination Truth” as well as Ghost Hunters. Both shows are regular viewing for my Wednesday nights (which just happen to be my nights off). In addition to the unique locations, Josh Gates’ show brings an air of “organized chaos” that adds a kind of excitement not often evident in the GH series.
And no worries about the long comments, It is always a pleasure to hear from you.
