Striking Resemblance

Angry Art beside the "Legion" movie character

A few months back,  probably late September or early October, I decided I wanted to make a new groundbreaker that was inspired by those gaping mouthed guardsmen mummies that gave Brendan Frasier such a troublesome time in the Mummy movie series. It was with that premise that Angry Arthur was created.

Fast forward 3 months to my first glimpse of the trailer for the movie “Legion”, and imagine my surprise when I spotted what would almost appear to be Angry Art himself, before his flesh began to rot away. If Legion’s Ice Cream Man character and Angry Arthur aren’t one in the same, then surely they must be related. Brothers perhaps?

Although it had come out in mid August, I had not seen the trailer for this film until the end of December as a preview on the District 9 DVD. I find it humorous that two images so similar would come out at almost the same time, with no inspiration from one another. If, as they say, great minds think alike, then someone else is doing a lot better with their great mind than I am with mine.
